Let’s stop for a moment and think about the so called information revolution for it’s all out there from Aries to Pisces of Astrology, from the Fool to the World of Tarot, from the latest World Headlines to what will I have for dinner? You can Google ® for almost anything or anyone! Who needs to visit an Astrologer or Tarot Reader anymore when you can ‘surf the net’ and receive as much ‘free’ information you desire from as many sources as your free time allows with just a click of the mouse!

The topic of this edition is Progressions (we’ll keep the subject matter linked to Astrology/Numerology) and the easiest way of doing this is to share my ‘journey’ with you – call it a blog if you like...

Let’s begin:  I’ve just experienced my Progressed Sun move from one sector of my chart (after 30 years being in the same house) to another!  And you know how important it is when a planet (or energy) moves from one house to another don’t you? If you don’t – read on. Let’s look at a simple analogy where a visitor arrives at your front door (suitcases in tow). Do your throw open your arms and say “welcome” or, ‘glare’ at the thought of having someone arrive unexpectedly and there’s nothing you can do about it? I enjoy using this analogy, simple, effective and easy to communicate.

To give you an example, I was born in Sagittarius at 16 degrees and for the next 14 years I was a Sagittarius then, my Progressed Sun became Capricorn! (The ‘Sun’ represents your identity, your image) and for the next 30 years (each house or sign is 30 degrees) I was wearing the clothes (so to speak) of Capricorn until the age of 44 when the Progressed Sun became Aquarius (a different image- a different set of clothes!) I’ll still be wearing my Aquarian ‘clothes’ until age 74! But, and here’s the big BUT, the sector or ‘house’ I’ve been residing is on the move! Yep, the removalists have arrived and it’s “goodbye” to one house and “hello” to another!  Exciting eh!

Look at your own sign degree for if you’re over 30, you’re wearing different a different suit of clothes to your ‘birthday suit!’ Depending on the degree of your Sun the ‘house’ position will also have moved and depending on what system of Astrology you subscribe to this move can be liberating or devastating! Take a moment, work it out for yourself and let me know what you think – share your thoughts for as Saturn visits Libra it’s all about relationships, sharing, caring and offering support to others – think, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc...

The Progressed Moon is one of the simplest of techniques (even mentioned in the bible as “I grant ye a day for each year”) where every 2½ years or so you experience a swing in your sense of identity or a change of house) again, this can be liberating or devastating – what about you? What have the past couple of years brought you – swings and roundabouts or, has everything rocked and rolled your way?  I won’t bore you with  the details and all the different  ways of looking at your Progressed Moon only to say “no matter what ‘suit of clothes’ (Sun) you’re wearing a the moment or whatever ‘house’ (neighbourhood) your residing  your Progressed Moon will either make you feel at home or wish you were somewhere else!”  

Summing up:  my ‘birthday suit’ was Sagittarius for 14 years- then I donned my Capricorn ‘attire’ for the next 30 years! At age 44 off came the Capricorn garb – to wearing my Aquarian outfit - until age 74, when off it will come and into my Piscean attire, catching my drift? Along the way however, there will be a change of house (scenery) and so on.

Join with us on this fascinating journey by looking at your own life over the years gone by and see where you shifted your focus, wore a different set of ‘clothes’, experienced a change of image, shifted your focus or, became aware of a difference to life- once you get the hang of things you can start to look forward – plot and plan for the future for it’s pliable – not fixed...

Interestingly, I was born at the New Moon (both my Sun and Moon were at the same degree) not only do I have my Progressed Sun move from one house to another but my Progressed Moon also! A double whammy eh! – Stay tuned for all the fun of the ride...
